Produced by Andrew Watt, the project won music industry support for the honor, where it won over albums by The Black Crowes, Fontaines D.C., Green Day, Idles, Pearl Jam, and Jack White.
Launched in the fall of 2023 with the lead single, “Angry”, “Hackney Diamonds” was recorded in various locations around the world and features guest appearances by Paul McCartney, Lady Gaga, Stevie Wonder, Bill Wyman and Elton John.
The iconic group supported the record with a 20-show 2024 North American tour that ran from April to late July.
