Alice Cooper seeks fan submissions for new video

Alice Cooper will be launching a brand-new song, “Don’t Give Up”, on May 15 and he is seeking fan submissions for the companion video.

“I know these times are hard, but there is hope and together we will win,” says the rocker. “I wrote a new song, ‘Don’t Give Up’, and I want ALL OF MY MINIONS to be a part of this special song!

“Share a photo or video of you holding a sign featuring A WORD FROM THE LYRICS to the song and you could be in the final video.”

How and what to submit:

• Select ONE WORD from the lyrics below and take a photo or video of yourself holding a sign with that word in BIG, BOLD LETTERS. Alice will pick the best ones to feature in the video.

• The bigger the sign, the better!

• Photos/Videos with good lighting and without props work best.

• Photo/Video must be shot in landscape on your phone or camera and in high resolution (1080p for video).

• Submit multiple photos of different lyric words for a better chance of being featured!

• Entries must be submitted by Monday, May 4, 2020 to be considered.

Fans can preview the lyrics and submit a photo at AliceCooper.com.

Cooper recently postponed a spring series of North American dates during the global health crisis.

“While our management is working to reschedule the postponed shows, I’m going to finish work on my next album, which is nearly done,” says the rocker. “At least now I won’t be squeezing in vocal recording sessions on days off, between shows. I don’t like a lot of time off, as anyone who sees my schedule already knows, but a little extra time at home can be re-energizing.”

Deep Purple stream Man Alive single from new album Whoosh!

Deep Purple are streaming “Man Alive”, as the second preview to their forthcoming album, “Whoosh!”

"It's an abstract concept," frontman and lyricist Ian Gillan tells Billboard. "There was an apocalyptic quality to the (music of) 'Man Alive', and the idea developed lyrically from there -- the scenario of this event that took place and everyone got killed, and you get this picture of 'all creatures great and small grazed on blood red soil, and grass that grows on city streets.'

“So it's a post-humanity scenario. And then all of a sudden something's washed up on the beach, and it turns out to be a man, and it's the only living man – but it's just a man, so...That's the end of humanity, because what use is one man? That was the idea. If it was a painting, you'd call it impressionistic."

“Man Alive” follows the project’s lead single, “Throw My Bones”, ahead of the August 7 release of the album, which was recorded with producer Bob Ezrin in Nashville, TN.

“Whoosh!” will be available as Limited CD+DVD Mediabook (including the 1-hour feature, “Roger Glover and Bob Ezrin In Conversation” and, for the first time, the full live performance at Hellfest 2017 as video), 2LP+DVD Edition, Limited Boxset and digital formats.

Guns N’ Roses: New album update

Guns N’ Roses continue to work on new music, according to the wife of bassist Duff McKagan.

During an interview with the Appetite For Distortion podcast, Susan Holmes McKagan shared a quick update on the status of the group as they work behind the scenes on what could result in the follow-up to 2008’s “Chinese Democracy.”

"I will say GN'R have been working fastidiously on killer new stuff,” McKagan explained (hear audio below). “And I can't say much, but I've heard bits and bobs and it's pretty epic. I do wanna spread the good news, but not detailed news, I guess."

The news follows an update by Slash in January, who confirmed recording activity within the camp while they were having ongoing discussions about the structure of a potential new release.

“There’s been no definitive answer on anything and I’ll just keep to that,” Slash told Guitar.com. “Stuff is happening, but there are no specifics. More than anything, it’s because of the nature of the industry right now. It’s just like, how do you want to do this? I mean there’s material and there’s recording and there’s s**t going on, but we’re not really sure what we’re doing with it right now.”

The guitarist is keenly aware of the changes in the music business since his last appearance on a Guns N’ Roses record was 1993’s “The Spaghetti Incident?”

“Yeah! And there’s a handful people who said, ’Yeah, make a record and go old school’,” he explained. “And there’s a handful of people that are like, ‘We don’t even know what buying a record is any more!’”

Sammy Hagar performs AC/DC classic in new Lockdown Sessions video

Sammy Hagar And The Circle can be seen performing a cover of the 1977 AC/DC classic, “Whole Lotta Rosie”, in the fifth and latest installment of the band’s “Lockdown Sessions” series.

The track was the third single issued from “Let There Be Rock”, which was a Top 20 album in several countries while going on to sell almost 3 million copies worldwide.

Hagar and the band are currently scheduled to begin a US summer tour in support of their latest album, “Space Between”, on July 9 in West Palm Beach, FL.

Launched with the lead single, “Trust Fund Baby”, the record debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 upon its release last spring.

Noel Gallagher streams lost Oasis demo

Noel Gallagher is streaming a previously lost demo for an Oasis song called “Don’t Stop...”

“Hey there dudes and dollies,” posted Gallagher on social media, “Like the rest of the world, I’ve had infinite time to kill lately so I thought I’d FINALLY look and find out what was actually on the HUNDREDS of faceless unmarked cd’s I’ve got lying around in boxes at home. As fate would have it I have stumbled across an old demo which I thought had been lost forever.

“As far as I’m aware, there is only one version of this tune ‘out there’ from an Oasis soundcheck in Hong Kong about 15 years ago? I’m not sure whether the soundcheck version pre-dates the demo as there’s no date on the CD.”

“I know some of you love this tune,”
he adds, “so we thought we’d put it ‘out there’ for you to enjoy/argue over. Hope everyone is staying safe and trying to ride out the lockdown with the minimum of fuss.

“You’re welcome, by the way.”

hennemusic tracked down the Hong Kong soundcheck version of "Don't Stop..." online; it was recorded in 2009 during what turned out to be the band’s final tour when Noel quit in August after a dispute with Liam in Paris, France.

Oasis formed in Manchester in 1991 and went on to become one of the UK’s biggest rock acts; all seven of the group’s studio records reached No. 1 in their homeland on the way to selling more than 75 million albums worldwide.

U2 and Joan Jett featured on new T. Rex tribute album

U2 and Joan Jett are just two of the rockers featured on a newly-announced tribute album to UK rockers T. Rex.

Due September 4, “AngelHeaded Hipster: The Songs of Marc Bolan and T. Rex” features new versions of 26 tracks by the pioneering glam rock group from their runs as Tyrannosaurus Rex and T. Rex between 1968-77, and is being previewed with a Nick Cave performance of “Cosmic Dancer” from 1971’s “Electric Warrior.”

U2 teams up with Elton John on T. Rex’s classic, “Bang A Gong (Get It On)”, while Jett delivers her take on “Jeepster”; the lineup also includes contributions from Todd Rundgren, Perry Farrell, David Johansen, Sean Lennon and Victoria Williams, among others

The collection was created by the late Hal Willner, the acclaimed music producer who passed away on April 7 from COVID-19; Willner worked on the project for several years, with sessions spanning continents, from New York, Los Angeles and New Orleans, to London, Paris and Berlin.

“Hal had a unique vision of Marc Bolan's music, and working on AngelHeaded Hipster brought him great joy,” says Rachel Fox, Supervising Producer and longtime Willner collaborator. “Speaking for those closest to him, we will forever be heartbroken at the untimely loss of our beloved friend and irreplaceable creative engine. Hal, who referred to AngelHeaded Hipster as his ‘White Album’, was eager for everyone to hear these beautiful songs and to start thinking about Bolan and T. Rex again. This album is a testament to Hal’s spirit.”

T. Rex founder Bolan released a dozen studio albums with the band before his fall 1977 death from a car accident near his UK home.

T. Rex are among the inductees into the 2020 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, with the ceremony at Cleveland’s Public Auditorium set to take place on Saturday, November 7 and broadcast live by HBO.

Green Day: Billie Joe Armstrong and sons perform on The Late Late Show with James Corden

Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong was joined by sons Joey and Jakob for a performance of his newly-released cover of the Tommy James and the Shondells classic, "I Think We're Alone Now", on the April 28 edition of CBS-TV’s The Late Late Show with James Corden.

The title track to James’ third album topped the charts in several countries and was a US No. 4 hit for the rocker in 1967.

“While we’ve all been in quarantine,” Armstrong said when issuing his take on the song, “I’ve been reflecting on the things that matter the most in my life: Family, friends and, of course, music. I recorded a cover of Tommy James and the Shondells’ ‘I Think We’re Alone Now’ in my bedroom.

“I figure if we have to spend this time in isolation, at least we can be alone together.”

Armstrong’s version of the pop classic launched his “No Fun Mondays” series, where the rocker releases a new cover song each week; to date, the Green Day guitarist has shared songs originally recorded by Johnny Thunders, The Bangles and The Avengers, and a cover of the title track to the 1996 film, “That Thing You Do.”

John Fogerty performs CCR classics on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert

John Fogerty and his family performed a pair of Creedence Clearwater Revival classics on CBS-TV’s The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

The guitarist was joined in his home studio by sons Tyler and Shane and daughter Kelsy for 1970’s “Have You Ever Seen The Rain?”, while 1969’s “Fortunate Son” was recorded as an online bonus track.

Released as the lead single from the California band’s sixth album, “Pendulum”, “Have You Ever Seen The Rain?” peaked at No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 while the project reached No. 5 on the Billboard 200.

Alongside “Down On The Corner”, “Fortunate Son” was issued as a double-sided single from the California band’s fourth album, “Willie And The Poor Boys”; the tune reached No. 3 on the US charts while the project went on to sell more than a million copies in the country.

Fogerty is scheduled to play a fall series of dates as part of a residency at the Encore Theater at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas.

Clutch announce rescheduled South American dates

Clutch have announced rescheduled dates for their recently-postponed tour of South America.

The three-show series – which was set to feature the band’s first live dates in Argentina and Chile alongside a return trip to Brazil – has been moved from this month to next spring (see dates below).

"Due to the recent Covid-19 virus and following recommendation from the health authorities,” said Clutch, “aiming the safety and well-being of all our fans, we decided to postpone our Latin America tour that would happen in the end of April.

“All the tickets purchased will remain valid for the new dates. Remember that keeping your ticket for the new dates will help bands, producers and everyone else involved in the music business going through these hard times. If you choose to get the money back, you need to get in touch with the point of purchase."

Clutch hosted a pair of live-streamed jam room performances last week as the Maryland outfit continue to test a new way to interact with their fans during the pandemic.

“We'll do something more robust in the future,” said singer Neil Fallon. “We're eventually gonna get more cameras – trick it out a little bit. This is kind of a learn-by-doing exercise.”

Scorpions release new single Sign Of Hope

The Scorpions have released a new single, “Sign Of Hope”, during the global health crisis.

“We are working on lots of Hard‘n Heavy Rockers for our new album these days,” says the band, “but because of the dramatic Covid-19 pandemic, we want to give you a little Sign of Hope that came straight from the heart in troubled times. Stay healthy and safe ... we love you.”

Last spring, the German rockers regrouped to begin working on material for a new album, which would mark the follow-up to 2015’s “Return To Forever.”

The veteran band are next scheduled to launch a Las Vegas residency in July.

“We are very excited to come back to Vegas for a nine show residency at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino’s Zappos Theater,” said singer Klaus Meine. “We’re looking very much forward to share some wild ‘Sin City Nights’ with all of you on the famous Strip … Let’s get ready for the Sting!!!!”

Metallica consider recording a new album during quarantine

Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich has revealed that the band have been discussing the possibility of recording a new album while in quarantine during the global pandemic.

"We've been sitting around in the last four to six weeks and having numerous conversations,” Ulrich told Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff during a livestream session on Tuesday. “The four members of Metallica connect via Zoom once a week, and it's great to connect. All four of us are, obviously, in four different locations in four different states right now. But one topic of conversation on these weekly Zoom sessions is what does it look like going forward? What will the next couple of months look like? What will the rest of the year look like? And what will, obviously, say, the next decade look like in terms of how do we create, how do we write music, how do we record music, how do we share music, and how is it all gonna look with the uncertainties ahead of us.”

After referencing their recently-postponed South American tour – which will now take place in December – the rocker brought things closer to home.

"The guys in Metallica, as we sit here and go, well, maybe in a month or two from now, is there a chance that the four of us can be together maybe at our studio here in Northern California, if the quarantine and stay-at-home orders subside – so on and so forth,” Ulrich explained, while outlining an additional option. “The people that make all the software and all the stuff that we all use to record are sitting right now trying to figure out how Lars and James and Kirk and Rob can make a Metallica record from four different locations in four different states. And that's something that we're obviously circling and very excited about… A lot of that will, obviously, have to do with how long stay-at-home orders stay in place. A lot of that will have to do with if there's a second wave of the virus. Who knows what our world will look like six months from now? But, obviously, the one thing that you can depend on with creative people, for better or worse, is that they can't sit still for very long.

“And I can tell you that on these weekly Metallica Zoom sessions, we are talking about how we can just be a band again,”
added the drummer. “And there are many different phases to being in a band, but the most basic one, and certainly where it started 37 years ago, is to just have four guys playing music together. The fact that it ends up being shared all over the world and connecting with millions of people, that's much later and a whole different thing. But at its core essence is just four guys in room, or connected via Zoom, making music together. And I can tell you that all four of us are really excited about what that could look like.

“So, will there be a Metallica quarantine record? I can't tell you, because, again, I don't know how long the quarantine will last. But if you and I and the rest of the world are sitting here six months from now or a year from now, I'd say there's a very good chance."

Metallica released their first album in eight years, “Hardwired…To Self-Destruct”, in 2016, and the band have been touring in support of the project ever since.

Def Leppard guitarist performs Hysteria at SiriusXM

Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen performs the title track to the band’s 1987 smash, “Hysteria”, in a newly-released video from SiriusXM.

Filmed earlier this year at the satellite radio company’s studios, the footage comes on the heels of the group’s recent "Let’s Get Rocked At Home Weekend" on the SiriusXM Hair Nation channel, which saw the UK rockers spinning their biggest hits and sharing the stories behind those songs.

Def Leppard will release a new live package, “London To Vegas”, on May 29.

The project presents a pair of concert films: “Hysteria At The O2”, which delivers a full December 2018 album performance of “Hysteria”; and, “Hits Vegas, Live At Planet Hollywood”, featuring footage from their Las Vegas residency at Zappos Theatre.

Both films come with bonus features, with the London material rounded out by the mini-documentary, “Hysteria: Then And Now”, while fans can access behind-the-scenes video from Vegas.

Def Leppard are currently scheduled to join Motley Crue for a US stadium tour that will begin in Jacksonville, FL on June 18.

Dave Grohl performs Everlong for New York City nurse on Jimmy Kimmel Live

Dave Grohl delivered a surprise acoustic performance of the Foo Fighters’ 1997 classic, “Everlong”, from isolation for a New York City nurse on the April 27 episode of ABC-TV’s Jimmy Kimmel Live.

The late night host – who has been saluting frontline workers with a “Healthcare Hero Of The Week” segment – connected with TJ Riley, an emergency and trauma nurse from Jacobi Medical Center in The Bronx, to thank him for his hard work and dedication during the pandemic.

After learning Riley was a big Foo Fighters fan, Kimmel brought Grohl into the video mix, which surprised the COVID-19 survivor.

“I feel like I’m having a coronavirus dream...this is crazy,” joked Riley as Grohl performed the fan favorite from the band’s second album, “The Colour And The Shape.”

Kimmel’s team are giving Riley a $10,000 gift card from Life Is Good apparel and are sending gift packages from the company to every nurse in his department.

This past week, Grohl and Taylor Hawkins joined an all-star lineup of UK artists for a new version of the 2002 Foo Fighters classic, “Times Like These”, in support of the global effort to stay safe and stay home during the Coronavirus crisis.

Green Day, Fall Out Boy and Weezer have postponed the start of their Hella Mega European tour.

Set to begin in Paris, France on June 13 (details below), the bands are shutting down plans for the first five dates of the series, which is currently scheduled to open in Glasgow, Scotland on June 24.

“There’s nothing that makes our bands happier than playing shows, and maybe no other tour that we’ve all been this excited for, but due to the current health crisis, we’re having to postpone a number of our European shows,” says the three acts in a joint statement. “We’re just as disappointed as you are, but the safety of our fans, staff and touring crew is our top priority.

“We’re working hard to finalize dates for the rescheduled shows next summer, so hold on to those tickets.

“Keep rocking…safely…at home.”

The nine-show run was set to see Green Day performing material from their new album, “Father Of All”, with Weezer on the road supporting the May 15 release of “Van Weezer”, while Fall Out Boy will issue “Greatest Hits: Believers Never Die – Volume Two” this November.

Metallica stream 1991 concert from Black Album tour

Metallica are streaming video of a complete concert from their 1991 tour in support of their self-titled record in the latest installment of their weekly series “Metallica Mondays.”

“Check out tonight’s #MetallicaMondays to see an old-school show, filmed with house cameras with audio pulled straight from the soundboard,” says the band. “Get ready for a raw, grainy set from the beginning of the never-ending Black Album tour.”

The November 1 date at the L.C. Walker Arena in Muskegon, MI came early in the first North American leg of the trek, which saw Metallica perform 224 dates over a 17-month period while their fifth studio album delivered their commercial breakthrough.

Launched with the lead single, “Enter Sandman”, the “Metallica” album topped the charts in several countries on its way to worldwide sales of more than 31 million copies.

“While we’re all doing our part and staying home, we find ourselves missing live music, so how about we dive back into a few of our favorite shows at a socially responsible distance?”, says Metallica. “Not to sound too cheesy, but now more than ever, we’re in this together, and staying connected is how we’ll get through it. With that in mind, we’re bringing a series of Live Metallica shows right to your couch!”

The group launched the series with a 2019 show at the iconic Slane Castle in Meath, Ireland, and have shared footage of a 2017 Paris concert, a 2009 event in Copenhagen, a 2017 performance in their hometown of San Francisco, and a 2015 concert in Munich, Germany.

Rush bassist Geddy Lee among Canadians featured on COVID-19 charity cover

Rush bassist Geddy Lee is featured as a part of an all-star cast of Canadian musicians on a cover of the Bill Withers classic, “Lean On Me”, in support of the Canadian Red Cross response to COVID-19 in Canada.

Produced by Jon Levine, the recording and companion video also includes Avril Lavigne, Bryan Adams, Jann Arden, Justin Bieber, Michael Bublé and Sarah McLachlan, among others, under the collective banner ArtistsCAN.

"When I heard of Bill Withers's passing,” explains singer Tyler Shaw, “I was listening to all his legendary music and I really dove into the lyrics of 'Lean On Me', a song I've heard hundreds of times, but now in this current climate, the lyrics seem more profound than ever. I wanted to cover it; I wanted to help. I called Fefe Dobson, we called more people, and more people. And in a really short time we had this incredible song, with a message I think people need to hear right now, all while raising money for something every single one of us is affected by."

"ArtistsCAN is true artist-to-artist connection,"
adds Dobson. "We've come together to help how we can. We know there a lot of people who are struggling, who have lost their jobs, who can't financially contribute. So this is a way to help because by just streaming the song, or watching the video, the proceeds go directly to the Canadian Red Cross to help fight this virus."

The accompanying video for the single kicked off the charitable endeavor with the premiere of the song on Sunday evening's historic national, multi-broadcaster event "Stronger Together, Tous Ensemble."

All proceeds of the ArtistsCAN single are donated to the Canadian Red Cross to help fight COVID-19 in Canada. Canadians can contribute to the initiative by simply streaming the song, viewing the official music video, or downloading the single.

To make a monetary contribution, just text LEANONME to 20222 (standard text messaging rates apply) or go to redcross.ca.

Lee and Rush will release multiple 40th-anniversary editions of their seventh studio album, “Permanent Waves”, on May 29.

Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day streams Starjets cover

Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong is streaming a cover of The Starjets 1979 track, “War Stories”, in the latest installment of his weekly cover song series No Fun Mondays.

The single from the Belfast, Northern Ireland band’s lone studio album, “God Bless The Starjets”, reached No. 51 on the UK singles charts.

“Welcome to No Fun Mondays,” announced Armstrong at the project’s launch last month. “Going to release a cover song every week until we’re let back out into the world.”

The rocker kicked off the series with a Tommy James and the Shondells classic, which was followed by a Johnny Thunders track, a 1986 Bangles hit written by Prince, a tune by San Francisco, CA punk outfit The Avengers, and a cover of the title track to the 1996 film, “That Thing You Do.”

Armstrong recently performed an acoustic version of Green Day’s 2004 hit, “Wake Me Up When September Ends”, on the “One World Together At Home” COVID-19 benefit broadcast on April 18; the tune is also featured on a benefit album of the same name in support of the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund.

The Doobie Brothers perform Black Water in new isolation video

The Doobie Brothers can be seen performing their 1974 classic, “Black Water”, in a new home video from isolation during the pandemic.

“We knew we would want to share something with others out there who are in isolation just like we are,” Patrick Simmons tells Rolling Stone. “We are so grateful to our fans who contributed to the performance and our families who helped with the production.

“Sending out warm wishes to all of our friends,”
he adds. “Thanks to all the angels of mercy who have stepped up to lessen the impact that the Covid-19 virus has had on so many lives. We are partnering with Feeding America for our presentation, and would be thankful to anyone who could make a donation to help our neighbors in need during this crucial time.”

For information on the food bank network, visit feedingamerica.org.

The Doobie Brothers are among the artists set to be inducted into the 2020 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame; the event – which also honors new additions T. Rex, Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails, The Notorious B.I.G. and Whitney Houston – was originally scheduled to take place in Cleveland, OH on May 2, but has been rescheduled to November 7.

Formed in San Jose, CA in 1970, The Doobie Brothers have released 14 studio records and sold more than 40 million albums worldwide.

ZZ Top: Billy Gibbons debuts Missin’ Yo’ Kissin video

ZZ Top guitarist Billy Gibbons is debuting a performance video for “Missin’ Yo’ Kissin’”, a track from his 2018 album, “The Big Bad Blues.”

Directed by Harry Reese, the footage features Gibbons and his touring lineup – drummer Matt Sorum, bassist Austin Hanks, and Elwood Francis on blues-harp – playing before a sold-out crowd in San Antonio, TX on his solo tour in support of the project.

“Hey friends!,” says Gibbons. “In this temporary absence of raucous and rockin’ roadshow gatherings, here’s a little thing with a sneak peek to offer 3 minutes of bluesy-rock film entertainment for your viewing pleasure.

“‘Missin’ Yo’ Kissin'’ is an understatement. We await the moment to resume sharing some more good times for our loyal friends, fans, and followers…pronto… Bueno! Enjoy, y’all!”

Produced by Gibbons and Joe Hardy, the rocker’s second solo effort debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Americana/Folk chart while landing a No. 2 placement on the Blues chart and at No. 5 in Current Rock chart.

“The Big Bad Blues” was named Blues Rock Album Of The Year at the 2019 Blues Music Awards.

Gibbons and ZZ Top recently postponed their spring Las Vegas residency at The Venetian Theatre during the coronavirus outbreak, as well as a Canadian tour with guests Cheap Trick.

Miley Cyrus performs Pink Floyd classic on Saturday Night Live

Miley Cyrus performed the 1975 Pink Floyd classic, “Wish You Were Here”, on the April 25 broadcast of NBC-TV’s Saturday Night Live.

The pop singer was joined by producer Andrew Watt on guitar for the appearance, with the rocker maintaining social distancing recommendations by playing away from Cyrus, who was sitting next to a glowing fire pit.

Pink Floyd’s ninth studio album, “Wish You Were Here” topped the US Billboard 200 on its way to sales of more than 6 million in the country and 13 million worldwide.

Watt – who produced and played on Ozzy Osbourne’s “Ordinary Man” record – revealed last month that he had tested positive for the coronavirus while outlining details of his personal health struggle.

"I am 29 years old. I am a healthy young man and I am going to get through this no matter what,” explained Watt. “I am going to make a full recovery... But...there are so many people in my life and in the world that could possibly not get through this due to their age and/or a compromised immune system... this is why I am writing this post.

"I can't stress this enough...This is not a joke. Stay inside, stay sanitized. Please stop everything and take care of yourselves And the people you love around you, until we are all through this.

"To have the mentality 'I'm young this can't affect me' is just straight up stupid and so dangerous to everyone around you,”
he added. “Social distancing is to protect someone's mom and dad, someone's grandmother...it's not about you. It's about everyone together fighting this as a team. Stay safe. Now more than ever...”

John Fogerty performs CCR classics for NPR's Tiny Desk concert series

John Fogerty and his family performed a trio of Creedence Clearwater Revival classics during an appearance on NPR’s Tiny Desk concert series this week.

The guitarist was joined by sons Tyler and Shane and daughter Kelsy for the home quarantine jam, which opened with Fogerty’s 1985 hit, “Centerfield”, before rolling out the CCR hits "Down On The Corner", "Long As I Can See The Light" and "Proud Mary."

Launched in 2008, the program features artists performing behind a desk in the NPR offices in Washington, DC; according to NPR, the series “is working from home for the foreseeable future. Introducing NPR Music's Tiny Desk (home) concerts, bringing you performances from across the country and the world. It's the same spirit – stripped-down sets, an intimate setting – just a different space.”

Fogerty has been sharing a number of video performances during the pandemic, including “Lodi”, “Down On The Corner”, an appearance on Rolling Stone’s “In My Room” series and playing a pair of CCR tunes at home.

Foo Fighters stream complete 2006 London concert

The Foo Fighters are streaming video of a complete London concert from 2006.

On the road in support of their fifth album, “In Your Honor”, the band’s show at Hyde Park delivered a mix of new songs and classic hits, and featured special guest appearances by Motorhead’s Lemmy Kilmister and Queen’s Brian May and Roger Taylor.

The London event was released in late 2006, as well as being included as part of the group’s “Skin And Bones” live package.

“Keep washing your hands,” says the band. “#StayHome #FooFriday.”

This past week, Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins joined an all-star lineup of UK artists for a new version of the 2002 Foo Fighters classic, “Times Like These”, in support of the global effort to stay safe and stay home during the Coronavirus crisis.

Chris Martin of Coldplay, Ellie Goulding, Royal Blood, Dua Lipa and Rita Ora, among many others, recorded and film their contributions from their own homes before they were compiled by producer Fraser T. Smith (Adele, Stormzy) for an April 23 release as the Stay Home Live Lounge – in honor of the long-running BBC Radio “Live Lounge” series that sees intimate studio versions of hits and covers.

The BBC has released the song as a single, with UK net profits to be combined with any funds raised by The Big Night In; these funds will be split equally between BBC Children In Need and Comic Relief to provide essential support to vulnerable people of all ages and backgrounds across the UK who will be significantly impacted by the COVID-19 crisis; International net profits will go towards the WHO’s COVID-19-Solidarity Response Fund.
