The Band announce Music From Big Pink 50th Anniversary release

The Band will release multiple 50th Anniversary editions of their 1968 debut, “Music From Big Pink”, on August 31.

Generally considered as one of the most influential records of the rock era, the project mixed a variety of styles into a new sound apart from the popular music of the period while being credited, among other things, as the start of the Americana music genre.

"We wanted Music From Big Pink to sound like nothing anyone else was doing,” wrote drummer Levon Helm in his 1993 memoir, “This Wheel's On Fire.” “This was our music, honed in isolation from the radio and contemporary trends."

Produced by John Simon and recorded over two weeks after songwriting sessions at the “Big Pink” house in upstate New York, “Music From Big Pink” included three songs written or co-written by Bob Dylan, who the group previously backed on tour and whose painting was used as the set’s cover art.

"We had all of that gathering – the woodshedding and paying our dues, all of that dripping into the music," explains guitarist Robbie Robertson. "This didn't sound like anything we had done with Ronnie Hawkins, what we had done as Levon and the Hawks, or what we played on the Dylan tour. This was a music that – hopefully – lived in a time and space that you couldn't quite put your finger on."

The newly-remixed and expanded 50th Anniversary Edition packages include a Super Deluxe CD/Blu-ray/2LP/7-inch vinyl box set with a hardbound book; 1CD, digital, 180-gram 2LP black vinyl, and limited edition 180-gram 2LP pink vinyl sets.

All configurations feature a new stereo mix for the album produced by Bob Clearmountain from the original four-track analog masters, achieving a striking clarity and incorporating some previously unreleased chatter from the studio sessions.

The 50th Anniversary Edition's CD, digital, and box set configurations also include five outtakes and alternate recordings from the sessions and a previously unreleased a cappella version of "I Shall Be Released."

Exclusively for the box set, Clearmountain has also produced a new 5.1 surround mix for the album and the bonus tracks, presented on Blu-ray with the new stereo mix in high resolution audio (96kHz/24bit). The box also includes an exclusive reproduction of The Band's 1968 7-inch vinyl single for "The Weight" / "I Shall Be Released" in their new stereo mixes and a hardbound book with a new essay by music journalist David Fricke and classic photos by Elliott Landy.

In 1989, The Band was inducted into Canada's Juno Hall Of Fame and five years later they were accorded the same honor by the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame; in 2008, they were honored with The Recording Academy's Lifetime Achievement Award.

Creedence Clearwater Revival launch 50th anniversary with Fortunate Son video

Creedence Clearwater Revival have launched their 50th anniversary with the first-ever video for their iconic 1969 hit, “Fortunate Son.”

“It was in the summertime half a century ago that CCR released their self-titled debut album,” says the band. “We’re kicking off the 50th anniversary celebration with something special.”

Alongside “Down On The Corner”, “Fortunate Son” was issued as a double-sided single from the California band’s fourth album, 1969’s “Willie And The Poor Boys”; the tune reached No. 3 on the US charts while the project went on to sell more than a million copies in the country.

A comment on class issues involving citizens serving in the US military, “Fortunate Son” ultimately became an anthem in the anti-war movement during the country’s involvement in the Vietnam War.

“For me, protest right now is just showing pure positivity in the face of division and anger," says video director Ben Fee. “I wanted to highlight the community and positivity that everybody shares… I wanted to show what America feels like when you actually hit the road and drive throughout the states."

In sync with the video’s release, Creedence Clearwater Revival have launched a social media campaign under the banner #CCR50 to write “a new chapter in the band’s history, giving longtime fans new ways to engage with Creedence’s legacy and creating pathways for younger generations to discover their timeless, all-American sound.”

“Share your #itaintme moment via socials to be part of the story – you may be included in a special vertical version of the ‘Fortunate Son’ music video, and you’ll be entered to win a set of rare vinyl test pressings for a special release coming soon.”

Creedence Clearwater Revival initially formed in El Cerrito, CA in 1959 by high school friends John Fogerty, Stu Cook and Doug Clifford as The Blue Velvets; the trio backed up Tom Fogerty during live performances and in the studio on some singles before he was added to the lineup; the group changed their name to The Golliwogs and released more singles between 1964 and 1967 before officially becoming CCR in December of 1967.

The band issued their self-titled debut in the spring of 1968, scoring their first US hit with a cover of the 1957 Dale Hawkins rockabilly classic, “Susie Q.”

CCR released seven albums (including three platinum ones in 1969 alone) and had a dozen US Top 40 hits before they disbanded in 1972; the group sold more than 26 million albums in the US alone and were inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 1993.

Dee Snider streams new single Become The Storm

Dee Snider is streaming audio of “Become The Storm”, the latest single from his forthcoming album, “For The Love Of Metal.”

Due July 27, the project was produced by Hatebreed vocalist Jamey Jasta and features contributions from Howard Jones (ex-Killswitch Engage), Mark Morton (Lamb Of God), Alissa White-Gluz (Arch Enemy), Joel Grind and Nick Bellmore (Toxic Holocaust) and Charlie Bellmore (Kingdom Of Sorrow).

"This is a really exciting album I did not expect to make, especially at this point in my life,” Snider told New Jersey radio station 90.3 WMSC-FM. “I was doing Jamey Jasta's podcast, and he challenged me to make a contemporary rock record. And I was, like, 'Who's producing?' He said, 'I am.'

“And so we went in the studio [with] no record deal, and people started flocking [to appear on the LP]. It just amazed me, the enthusiasm and excitement that these younger musicians — younger than me, at least — had for working with Dee Snider and being a part of this project."

“Become The Storm” is the second song previewed from the record ahead of its release, following the lead track, “Tomorrow’s No Concern.”

The rocker's fourth solo album marks the follow-up to "We Are The Ones", which was issued in late 2016 just as Twisted Sister were wrapping up their 40th anniversary farewell tour.

VIDEO: Judas Priest perform 2018 tour debut of Victim Of Changes

Judas Priest were joined by guitarist Glenn Tipton for the 2018 “Firepower” world tour debut of their 1976 classic, “Victim Of Changes”, at Sala Cubec in Bilbao, Spain on June 28.

The tune, which originally appeared on the UK band’s second album, “Sad Wings Of Destiny”, marked its fiorst appearance in the set since it was last performed in December 2015 on the group’s “Redeemer Of Souls” trek.

Recently-retired from the road due to health issues from a diagnosis of Parkinson’s Disease, Tipton regrouped with the veteran metal outfit for the event’s four-song encore in Bilbao that included "Metal Gods", "Breaking The Law", "Living After Midnight" and "Victim Of Changes."

Judas Priest have just launched the Glenn Tipton Parkinson's Foundation in honor of their guitarist who is suffering from the degenerative neurological disorder.

“It was the band that suggested we start a foundation which, although in my name, is really a Judas Priest foundation,” explains Tipton. “We are selling t-shirts with the slogan 'No Surrender’ (a track off the latest album) which is very appropriate considering the determination you have to summon up to get on with life and beat this illness – it’s the sort of thing that always happens to ’someone else'

“There are many Parkinson related charities were we could send the funds we raise to which deal with the many different aspects of this disease both physically and mentally - but what really excites me is a brand new pioneering treatment called MR-guided focused ultrasound thalamotomy, which although in its early stages has already had great success with a Parkinson's related condition called essential tremor. Dr Bain, my specialist who is one of the leading experts in this field, and his colleagues are now turning their attention to treating Parkinson's patients with this state of the art MR scanners and are very optimistic as to the positive results that are emerging.”

“All proceeds we receive from you will go to this cause and I urge not just Judas Priest fans but everyone out there to help,” adds Tipton. “If you can't get to the shows, you can also purchase t- shirts online here."

The European leg of the “Firepower” world tour will wrap up in early August, following which the band will return to North America to team up with Deep Purple for a 25-city co-headlining trek that will begin in Cincinnati, OH on August 21.

Led Zeppelin are streaming live audio of their 1971 classic, “Black Dog”, as a preview to the September 7 release of multiple remastered editions of the soundtrack to the concert film, “The Song Remains The Same.”

Clutch release How To Shake Hands video

Maryland rockers Clutch have released a video for “How To Shake Hands”, the second single from their forthcoming album “Book Of Bad Decisions.”

The tune traces its lineage back to Ry Cooder and John Lee Hooker via Cooder's “John Lee Hooker For President”, from his 2011 record, “Pull Up Some Dust And Sit Down.” In that song, Cooder impersonates the blues legend giving a stump speech on what will happen when he becomes President.

Clutch’s original idea of covering the Cooder track was soon abandoned as singer Neil Fallon determined that he couldn’t do the song justice; instead, Fallon put his own lyrics in the style of Ry Cooder/JLH to a new Clutch song which ended up becoming “How To Shake Hands.”

The new video sees Fallon running for US President on a platform of “Straight Talk, No Jive”, with plans to ride in a UFO and put Jimi Hendrix on the $20 bill.

In addition to its new digital release, Clutch are issuing a very limited 7” Picture Disc in a transparent PVC pocket featuring “How To Shake Hands” on the blue side and the lead single, “Gimme The Keys”, on the reverse, green side.

Due September 7, the Maryland band recorded “Book Of Bad Decisions” at Sputnik Sound in Nashville, TN with producer Vance Powell (Jack White, Chris Stapleton, The Raconteurs).

Guns N’ Roses stream unreleased piano version of November Rain from Appetite reissue

Guns N’ Roses are streaming a previously-unreleased 1986 recording of “November Rain” ahead of its inclusion in the June 29 release of multiple expanded reissues of their 1987 album debut, “Appetite For Destruction.”

The tune is one of two versions of the song – alongside an acoustic take – captured during the band's 1986 sessions at Sound City studios; “”November Rain” would surface years later as the third single from 1991’s “Use Your Illusion I”, peaking at No. 3 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and becoming a mainstay at live shows.

The “Appetite For Destruction” reissues will be offered in various packages, including a 4CD/7LP box set, a 4CD/1Blu-ray Super Deluxe Edition, a 2CD Deluxe Edition also available as 2LP set pressed on 180-gram vinyl, and a single CD version featuring the remastered album.

“Appetite For Destruction” launched Guns N’ Roses from the Los Angeles club scene to international fame while delivering three US Top 10 singles: “Welcome To The Jungle”, “Paradise City”, and their first and only US No. 1 hit, “Sweet Child o’ Mine.”

Three decades after its release, the project remains the biggest-selling debut album of all time with more than 30 million copies sold worldwide.

Ray Davies streams The Big Guy from Americana album sequel

Ray Davies is streaming audio of “The Big Guy”, as the latest preview to the June 29 album release of “Our Country: Americana Act II.”

The project marks the companion to the singer’s first original solo work in a decade, 2017’s “Americana”, and his 2013 memoir of the same name.

The autobiographical tune tells the story of a 2004 incident that saw The Kinks frontman shot in the leg while chasing muggers who had stolen the purse of his companion as they walked in the French Quarter of New Orleans, LA.

"'The Big Guy' is reflections on waking up in the hospital with gunshot wounds," explains Davies in a companion video clip. “The big guys in the book are my bodyguards, a guy called Tony and a guy called Bobby. The song is about them and what they meant to me because I have a tendency to self-destruct on tour like most musicians. Tony was under instructions if I have more than two pints he can break my arm – or threaten to."

Produced by Davies, Guy Massey and John Jackson, “Our Country” was recorded at London’s Konk Studios with guitarist Bill Shanley and The Jayhawks once again serving as Davies’ backing band in addition to a group of UK musicians.

“Our Country: Americana Act II” will be available on CD, 2LP vinyl and digital formats.

Iron Maiden sued over songwriting credits by former singer

Iron Maiden are being sued by their former singer Dennis Willcock for allegedly stealing the lyrics to some of their classic early songs.

According to The Sun, Willcock – who fronted the band between 1976 and 1978 – claims to have written lyrics to songs that appeared on the band’s self-titled 1980 debut, including “Prowler”, “Charlotte The Harlot”, “Phantom Of The Opera” and “Iron Maiden”, as well as the 1981 “Killers” track “Prodigal Son”, while musician Terry Wilson-Slesser says he co-wrote lyrics to a 1974 song called “A Rainbow's Gold” that the veteran metal outfit used for “Hallowed Be Thy Name” from 1982’s “The Number Of The Beast.”

All of the songs are credited to Iron Maiden founder and bassist Steve Harris, except for guitarist Dave Murray’s “Charlotte The Harlot.”

Harris and Murray and their publishing company Imagem are named as defendants in the suit, which sees Willcock and Wilson-Slesser seeking damages in excess of £2 million (approximately $2.64 million).

Willcock claims he never knew his lyrics were used because he never listened to Iron Maiden’s albums after he exited the lineup.

An Iron Maiden spokesperson tells The Sun: “This is outrageous. Absolutely ridiculous.”

Iron Maiden are currently playing dates on the Legacy Of The Beast summer 2018 European tour, which mixes headline shows with festival appearances and runs until August.

Public memorial announced for Pantera drummer Vinnie Paul

A public memorial for the late Pantera/Hellyeah drummer Vinnie Paul Abbott will be held on Sunday, July 1 at the Bomb Factory in Dallas, TX.

Fans interested in attending "Vinnie Paul: A Public Celebration Of Life" must receive a wristband to enter the Bomb Factory; the line for wristbands will begin at noon outside the venue prior to the 3:33 p.m. memorial.

"There are no advance tickets, lines or lists," notes event organizers.

Paul died in his sleep at home in Las Vegas, NV on June 22 at the age of 54; after the medical examiner determines the cause of death, the late rocker will be flown back to his home state to be buried between his mother and brother, guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott.

The public memorial will follow a private funeral on Saturday, June 30, which is scheduled to begin at 3:33 p.m. – a nod to Dimebag’s favorite number, three.

Paul and his brother cofounded Pantera in Arlington, TX in 1981. The group’s 1983 debut, “Metal Magic”, was followed by three more independent records before the 1990 release of the major-label debut, “Cowboys From Hell”, which began a series of multi-platinum albums.

Pantera disbanded in 2003, with the Abbotts going on to launch Damageplan in 2004; while on tour in support of their debut, “New Found Power”, Dimebag Darrell was shot dead onstage during a December 8, 2004 club show in Columbus, OH.

Vinnie went on to join the new Dallas, TX-based supergroup Hellyeah in 2006, who issued their self-titled debut a year later – the first of five records up to 2016’s “Undeniable.”

"Vinnie Paul Abbott wasn’t just a drummer, he was an iconic fixture in the metal and hard rock community, a pioneer, and an absolute legend,” said Hellyeah's record label Eleven Seven Music in a statement. “He was a self taught drummer who went on to win many awards for his impeccable skills throughout his career.

"A founding member of Pantera, DamagePlan and his current band Hellyeah, Vinnie was a vital force for bands and millions of fans worldwide. Whether fans were turning their volume to 11 or headbanging their hearts out at live shows, Vinnie was an inspiration... Today, the world not only lost a legend, but also a genuine human being who lived to put a smile on the faces of everyone he met. May he be reunited with his brother as we all strive to continue his legacy."

Alice In Chains detail Rainier Fog album and stream new single So Far Under

Alice In Chains are streaming audio of the new single, “So Far Under”, as the latest preview to the August 24 release of their sixth album, “Rainier Fog.”

“It’s about feeling completely up against it - outnumbered, surrounded, facing seemingly unbeatable odds and being really pissed off about it,” explains vocalist/guitarist William DuVall. “It was inspired by personal circumstances, as well as events in the wider world. But it’s not as resigned to defeat as it may seem. The lyric is a cold, hard assessment of a difficult situation but the music has a message all its own. There’s still room to flip the script.

“Every aspect of writing and recording this song will always be remembered with a lot of joy - from recording the basic tracks and the guitar solo at Studio X in Seattle to doing further overdubs at Nick Raskulinecz’s studio in rural Tennessee. Everyone in the band and our studio team really stepped up and knocked it out of the park on this one. We’re extremely proud of this song and the entire album.”

“So Far Under” follows the lead single, “The One You Know”, as the second tune issued ahead of the project’s late summer arrival.

"Rainier Fog" marks a few firsts for Alice In Chains: in addition to being their first album in five years, it’s their first album for BMG and their first time recording in their hometown of Seattle in more than 20 years (worth noting that the album title is a tribute to Seattle).

The group recorded at Studio X, the same facility where they tracked 1995’s self-titled “Alice In Chains” album (back when the studio was known as Bad Animals); the recording process also saw the band spend time at Henson Recording Studios in Los Angeles and at the Nashville studio of producer Nick Raskulinecz.

“Rainier Fog” will be available digitally, as well as on CD and limited-edition double 180-gram clear LP with white and black splatter - available only from the band’s online store.

The set marks the follow-up to 2013’s “The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here”, which debuted at No. 2 on the US Billboard 200 upon its release in 2013.

Alice In Chains are currently playing dates on a summer tour of Europe; they’ll begin a fall run across North America in Vancouver, BC on August 22.

The Doors announce 50th anniversary edition of Waiting For The Sun

The Doors will release an expanded 50th anniversary edition of their third album, “Waiting For The Sun”, on September 14.

The latest effort in the group’s ongoing reissue series – following their self-titled debut and “Strange Days” – 1968’s “Waiting For The Sun” delivered The Doors a No. 1 US hit with “Hello, I Love You” while the record sold more than a million copies in the country to mark the band’s s third platinum album in less than two years, and the first to top the album chart.

The “Waiting For The Sun: 50th Anniversary Deluxe Edition” is a 2-CD/1-LP collection that features a new version of the album’s original stereo mix on both CD and 180-gram vinyl LP, which has been newly remastered from the original master tapes by Bruce Botnick, the Doors’ longtime engineer/mixer.

Also to be available on digital download and streaming services, the set includes a second disc of 14 completely unreleased tracks: nine recently discovered “rough mixes” from the album recording sessions and five live songs from a 1968 Copenhagen show.

“I prefer some of these rough mixes to the finals,” says Botnick, “as they represent all of the elements and additional background vocals, different sensibilities on balances, and some intangible roughness, all of which are quite attractive and refreshing.”

The deluxe edition of the album also features unreleased live recordings of five songs from the Doors’ September 17, 1968 concert in Copenhagen. The performance includes three songs from the band’s latest album – “Hello, I Love You,” “Five To One” and “The Unknown Soldier” – plus the classics “Back Door Man” and “The WASP (Texas Radio And The Big Beat).”

50 years after “Hello, I Love You” topped the US charts on August 3, 1968, Rhino Records will release a new 7” version of the single with its b-side, “Love Street” on August 3, 2018. For this anniversary release, Rhino Records will use mono radio mixes of the songs that were given exclusively to radio stations for airplay in 1968. This version of “Hello, I Love You” was first available last year as part of The Singles CD collection and is making its vinyl debut here, while the “Love Street” mix is being released commercially for the first time.

Robert Plant streams animated video for New World

Robert Plant is streaming a new animated video for the track “New World”, from his latest album, “Carry Fire.”

“Every day our senses are assaulted by the ridiculous,” says Plant. “It's not so long ago that today's plots and wrangles between nation governments would seem too far-fetched to inspire a Hollywood blockbuster. The perversions and struggles leave a shadow over the spirit of the people and the land. It's not an original sin. Every era bears the burden of chaos and warmongering. Time immemorial.

"’New World; is a comment on a recent history of conquest and submission. How fitting that Shepard Fairey, Aaron Huey and Ernesto Yerena complemented our music in such a way. They are artists of great conscience and sensitivity. I'm most grateful. I'm also pleased to add my support to HonorEarth.org.”

The foundation's mission statement is “to create awareness and support for native environmental issues and to develop needed financial and political resources for the survival of sustainable native communities … by using music, the arts, the media and indigenous wisdom to ask people to recognize our joint dependency on the Earth and be a voice for those not heard.”

“I was honored to be asked by Robert Plant to work on a video for his beautiful song New World,” tweeted Fairey. “I’m moved that Robert addresses this history in the lyrics and video and has chosen to support Honor The Earth with proceeds from the song.”

The animated clip for “New World” follows the recent release of a live performance video of the tune with The Sensational Space Shifters.

Plant is winding down a month-long tour of North America this week; the series saw the legendary rocker joined by a variety of special guests, including Sheryl Crow, Lucinda Williams, Jim James, Los Lobos, Elle King, Seth Lakeman, and Jon Langford.

The singer will begin a European trek at the 25th Istanbul Jazz Festival in Beyoğlu, Istanbul on July 17.

Stone Temple Pilots guitarist’s wife alleges domestic abuse in divorce filing

The wife of Stone Temple Pilots guitarist Dean DeLeo has filed for divorce while alleging years of abuse by the rocker.

TMZ reports Jenn DeLeo filed for divorce a couple weeks ago, just days after she claims he made violent threats to her, admitted he was cheating and told her to get out of the house – in front of their 6-year-old daughter.

In court documents, Jenn alleges Dean’s behavior started in 2012, shortly after they were married and she gave birth to their daughter; she claims his substance abuse led first to an incident involving the newborn nearly drowning when the guitarist took her into the ocean "while he was completely inebriated", before outlining a pattern of physical assaults and threats in the years since.

“I want to give a shout out to anyone who’s in a domestic violence situation!,” Jenn DeLeo tweeted on June 23. “It’s not your fault for staying so long. Please find the strength to leave. Once you do it’s beautiful. Sending love”, with a follow-up note that read: “I was in one with #DeanDeleo for the past 8 years!!!”

Jenn is reportedly seeking custody of their daughter as well as child/spousal support in the divorce proceedings.

Currently touring in support of the band’s self-titled 2018 record with new singer Jeff Gutt, the Stone Temple Pilots guitarist has not publicly responded the allegations to date.

Last fall, the model/actress was one of several accusers of abuse by director James Toback as part of the #MeToo movement.

Next month, Stone Temple Pilots will team up with The Cult and Bush for the “Revolution 3” tour; the 20-plus city run will see the three acts perform full sets while taking the stage in a different order on every stop of the revolving headline run, which will open in Nashville, TN on July 18.

Neil Young and John Mellencamp among Farm Aid 2018 performers

photo: Marc Hauser

Neil Young and John Mellencamp are among the artists set to perform at the 2018 edition of Farm Aid this fall.

The September 22 event at the at Xfinity Theatre in Hartford marks the first time in its 33-year history that the annual charity concert in support of family farms will be held in Connecticut.

Farm Aid 2018 will also feature performances by Farm Aid board members Willie Nelson, and Dave Matthews with Tim Reynolds, as well as Chris Stapleton, Sturgill Simpson, Kacey Musgraves, Margo Price, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Lukas Nelson & Promise Of The Real, and Particle Kid; additional artists will be announced later this summer.

“Family farmers are the backbone of our country,” says Farm Aid President and founder Willie Nelson. “But today, they are endangered. Whether we live in cities like Hartford or the rural areas of New England, each of us has the power to create positive, lasting change in our farm and food system and strengthen farm families to help them stay on the land for generations to come.”

“The crisis farmers are in now is even worse than 1985, because there are fewer farms left to lose," adds Mellencamp. "Family farmers are becoming an endangered species. They have a whole system stacked against them, and time is running out for Americans to demand a fairer playing field. Farm Aid 2018 has to be a rallying cry for all of us to stand up and fight for these families.”

Launched in 1985, Farm Aid has raised more than $53 million to support programs that help farmers thrive, expand the reach of the Good Food Movement, take action to change the dominant system of industrial agriculture and promote food from family farms.

A limited number of pre-sale tickets will be sold beginning Tuesday, June 26 at 10 a.m. EDT via farmaid.org; general public tickets will go on sale Friday, June 29, at 10 a.m. EDT.

Young will play a series of six US solo acoustic theatre dates this summer; the five-city run will open in St. Louis, MO on June 28, followed by two shows in Chicago, IL and one in Detroit, MI before wrapping things up with two nights in Boston, MA.

Judas Priest launch Glenn Tipton Parkinson’s Foundation

Judas Priest have launched the Glenn Tipton Parkinson's Foundation in honor of their guitarist who is suffering from the degenerative neurological disorder.

Tipton announced his retirement from the road earlier this spring following a diagnosis of Parkinson’s Disease four years ago that has affected his ability to play guitar; the rocker personally chose “Firepower” album co-producer Andy Sneap to take over his touring duties, while managing to make several appearances during the group’s spring trek across North America and their current run in Europe.

“As you probably know by now, I’ve had to pull out of the current Priest tour due to ill health,” explains Tipton. “I am still doing some shows and joining the guys on stage for some songs and will carry on for as long as I can without compromising the band. So far when I walk on stage the audience reaction has been amazing, heart warming and quite emotional.......

“I knew that something was wrong as my co-ordination and speed were affected and have both been slowly getting worse over the last ten years. Accordingly, when I was diagnosed it wasn’t really a shock. Rob, Richie, Ian and Scott are playing better than ever and Andy is doing a really great job - they have all given me so much support.”

“It was the band that suggested we start a foundation which, although in my name, is really a Judas Priest foundation,” continues the rocker.

"Dr Bain, my specialist who is one of the leading experts in this field, and his colleagues are now turning their attention to treating Parkinson's patients with this state of the art MR scanners and are very optimistic as to the positive results that are emerging.”

“All proceeds we receive from you will go to this cause and I urge not just Judas Priest fans but everyone out there to help,” adds Tipton. “If you can't get to the shows, you can also purchase t- shirts online here.

“We will keep you posted on what you have all raised through this tour so remember…Keep the Faith and………. No Surrender!!!”
