Black Sabbath have released video giving fans an inside look at the recording of their first album with Ozzy Osbourne in 35 years.
The 3-minute video features Ozzy, Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler talking about the making of “13.”
“Black Sabbath don’t write songs you hear on the radio, you know,” says Ozzy. “We write musical pieces.”
“You can’t always repeat what you’ve done, you’ve just got to go on,” adds Iommi. “It’ll be a today’s version of how it was 40 years ago, I suppose.”
The footage shows the band in the studio with guest drummer Brad Wilk of Rage Against The Machine and producer Rick Rubin.
Sabbath will launch their 2013 tour on 4/20 at the Vector Arena in Auckland, NZ.
The tour was originally scheduled to coincide with the April release of the band’s reunion album, but “13” will now be issued in June.
