Finalists for the 15th annual hennemusic Rock News Awards are chosen by readers: the Rock News Story Of The Year is determined by page views, while the Rock News Artist Of The Year is based on the combined total page views of the top 50 hennemusic rock news stories of the past twelve months.
The 2024 hennemusic Rock News Awards winners will be announced on Wednesday, December 18.

Rock News Story Of The Year No. 7: DAVID GILMOUR
In August, David Gilmour streamed video for “Dark And Velvet Nights”, the third single from his then-forthcoming album, “Luck And Strange.”
Written by Gilmour and Polly Samson, the track was inspired from a poem Samson had given the guitarist.
“The music sprang out one day,” explains the guitarist. “It was so exciting to have come across this groove.”
