Finalists for the 15th annual hennemusic Rock News Awards are chosen by readers: the Rock News Story Of The Year is determined by page views, while the Rock News Artist Of The Year is based on the combined total page views of the top 50 hennemusic rock news stories of the past twelve months.
The 2024 hennemusic Rock News Awards winners will be announced on Wednesday, December 18.

Rock News Story Of The Year No. 4: VAN HALEN
Legendary rock journalist Steve Rosen released the long-awaited third edition of “Tonechaser – Understanding Edward: My 26-Year Journey with Edward Van Halen.”
The project shares the writer’s personal and intimate history with the guitarist, which began in 1977 – before the releaseof Van Halen’s debut album.
While Edward was rewriting guitar history, Rosen became a close and trusted ally of the rocker; among his published works are three lead features for Guitar World magazine that are recognized as pivotal pieces on the iconic guitarist.
