Finalists for the 15th annual hennemusic Rock News Awards are chosen by readers: the Rock News Story Of The Year is determined by page views, while the Rock News Artist Of The Year is based on the combined total page views of the top 50 hennemusic rock news stories of the past twelve months.
The 2024 hennemusic Rock News Awards winners will be announced on Wednesday, December 18.

Aerosmith ended 2023 in limbo after it postponed its Peace Out farewell tour when Steven Tyler sustained significant vocal cord damage after just three shows last fall.
“To our fans: Unfortunately, Steven’s vocal injury is more serious than initially thought. His doctor has confirmed that in addition to the damage to his vocal cords, he fractured his larynx which requires ongoing care,” began an announcement by Aerosmith at the time.
In April, the legendary Boston rockers updated fans with news that the tour would relaunch in Pittsburgh, PA on September 20, while Tyler made a surprise guest appearance with The Black Crowes in London, UK on May 15.
A month before the tour was set to resume, Aerosmith made global headlines when it announced its retirement from touring as Tyler could not continue performing due to the extent of his injuries.
“We’ve always wanted to blow your mind when performing,” said the band on August 2. “As you know, Steven’s voice is an instrument like no other. He has spent months tirelessly working on getting his voice to where it was before his injury,” began the official statement on August 2.
With worldwide sales of more than 150 million records, Aerosmith – who formed in Boston, MA in 1970 – were inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 2001.
