Finalists for the 15th annual hennemusic Rock News Awards are chosen by readers: the Rock News Story Of The Year is determined by page views, while the Rock News Artist Of The Year is based on the combined total page views of the top 50 hennemusic rock news stories of the past twelve months.
The 2024 hennemusic Rock News Awards winners will be announced on Wednesday, December 18.

Rock News Artist Of The Year No. 7 – PETER FRAMPTON
Peter Frampton began 2024 with his first nomination for induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame; the guitarist was named among 15 artists under consideration for entry into the Cleveland, OH-based institution.
The news surfaced as the rocker was preparing to launch a spring series of US dates as an extension to his 2023 trek – under the new banner Never Ever Say Never Tour – which also celebrated his 60th year of touring.
Both runs were unexpected by fans, as the musician announced a farewell tour four years ago following a diagnosis of the degenerative disease inclusion body myositis, a rare and incurable inflammatory condition which causes muscles to weaken slowly over time.
In late April, Frampton was confirmed as a 2024 Rock Hall inductee alongside fellow icons Ozzy Osbourne, Foreigner, Cher and four others ahead of a fall ceremony.
June saw the guitarist honored with the Annual Les Paul Spirit Award at an event in Nashville, TN; the award is presented to an individual who exemplifies the spirit of the late, great Les Paul through innovation, engineering, technology and/or music.
Frampton returned to US concert stages for more live dates in the fall just weeks before his Rock Hall induction in October.
Following an introduction by Roger Daltrey, Frampton took the stage in Cleveland with his band for a song before a special guest sat in on “Do You Feel Like We Do”, an iconic 1973 track made famous by its inclusion on 1976’s landmark “Frampton Comes Alive” release.
