Rock News Artist of The Year No. 5 – DEF LEPPARD

Def Leppard ended 2023 with news that the group would be teaming up with Journey for a summer co-headlining stadium tour of North America.

In March, the UK rockers streamed a rough mix of their 1983 hit, “Photograph”, as the first preview to an expanded 40th Anniversary Box Set edition of “Pyromania” that would arrive in late April.

Ahead of the summer tour, Def Leppard issued a standalone single, “Just Like 73”, which f

eatured a guest appearance by Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello.

“It encapsulates a time that burned deep into our DNA,” says Joe Elliott. “We wanted to celebrate that very important and glorious time.”

In July, the band shared highlights from the first three North American dates with Journey as part of a video series that would run throughout the tour.

A live video of “Just Like 73” from the summer stadium tour surfaced shortly after its completion in early September.

Def Leppard will return to action with a pair of festival performances early next month, with a growing list of 2025 dates already announced for late spring and summer. https://defleppard.com/tour/
