Rock News Artist of The Year No. 5 – JUDAS PRIEST

As 2023 drew to a close, Judas Priest revealed details of a new studio album during an October appearance at the Power Trip festival in Indio, CA.

Set to arrive in the spring of 2024, “Invincible Shield” – which would mark the group’s first release in 6 years – was introduced with the lead single, “Panic Attack.”

Judas Priest shared a number of tracks from the set ahead of its release in March (stream the album in full here), following which it scored the highest UK-charting album in the group’s career as well as a US Top 20 debut.

The band launched the project with a series of UK and European dates as well as a spring US tour.

The fall brought Judas Priest back to North America for more shows and, in November, the group landed a nomination in the Best Metal Performance category at the 2025 Grammy Awards, which will take place in Los Angeles, CA on February 2.

The group – who closed out the year with a Japanese tour in December – will return to live action with South American shows in April ahead of a European and UK trek that opens in June.
