Finalists for the 15th annual hennemusic Rock News Awards are chosen by readers: the Rock News Story Of The Year is determined by page views, while the Rock News Artist Of The Year is based on the combined total page views of the top 50 hennemusic rock news stories of the past twelve months.
The 2024 hennemusic Rock News Awards winners will be announced on Wednesday, December 18.

Rock News Artist of The Year No. 3 – DAVID LEE ROTH
David Lee Roth closed out 2023 with a new seasonal holiday song entitled “Talking Christmas Blues”, while also providing Van Halen details that would lead the band to win the 2023 hennemusic Rock News Story Of The Year honors and a No. 2 slot as hennemusic Rock News Artist Of The Year.
In the spring, Roth issued another new track, “Scotch And Sofa”, as part of an ongoing campaign to randomly release original and cover songs, including his take on the Tommy Tutone classic, “867-5309/Jenny”, and the Gerry Rafferty hit, “Baker Street.”
The rocker continued throughout the year to share snippets of content from his Roth Show days and the 2002 video collection, “No Holds Bar-B-Que”, among other sources.
