“In Episode 7 of Behind The Summer Stadium Tour,” begins the synopsis, “we are introduced to Joe Elliott's idea for a solo record, Rick and Phil re-learn some songs, Joe & Phil channel their inner Moody Blues, the guys celebrate Viv's Birthday and Joe embarks on a journey (no pun intended) to get a new phone.”
The 2024 series – which opened in St. Louis, MO in early July and wrapped up in late September – saw the two bands play 27 shows across the continent; it also marked Def Leppard’s first tour with Journey since 2018, when they performed 60 dates together.
Ahead of opening night, Def Leppard released a new standalone single, “Just Like 73”; the 1970s-inspired track marks the first collaboration between the band and Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello.
