Axl Rose recently joined Billy Joel for the final night of his decade-long residency at New York’s Madison Square Garden, and fan-filmed video from the event is streaming online.

Rose first took the stage to deliver covers of the 1973 Paul McCartney & Wings hit, “Live And Let Die”, and AC/DC’s 1979 classic, “Highway To Hell”; he returned to join Joel for the event finale of the singer’s 1980 hit, “You May Be Right.”

“BIG THANKS to Billy Joel, Everyone in the band, the Fans, the Crew, NY n’ MSG!!,” shared Rose on social media. “Thanks for having me be a part of your Grand Finale!!🎉🥳 Was an HONOR!! Congratulations on an amazing, insane 150 Madison Square Garden performances!!”

The July 25 event marked Joel’s 150th lifetime show at the famed venue, where the piano man has redefined the concept of residency; the scope and ambition of Joel’s residency – where he has played once a month at Madison Square Garden since January 2014 – is unprecedented.

Upon launching the series a decade ago, Joel said it would run “as long as the demand continues.”

Throughout the course of the residency, Joel sold more than 1.9 million tickets to fans from all 50 US states and more than 120 countries – further establishing his status as a global icon.
