The band – who were inducted into the Rock Hall in 2019 – made the trek while in between shows on the summer run.
“Got to enjoy a day off at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame when we were in Cleveland,” sdays the group. “Come along as we take a look through Rock history, those who paved the way for us, and some of our own memorabilia.”
As part of the 34th annual induction event, Def Leppard was recognized alongside fellow honorees Stevie Nicks, The Cure, Janet Jackson, Radiohead, Roxy Music and The Zombies during a ceremony in New York.
Following an acceptance speech, Def Leppard took to center stage to perform the title track to “Hysteria”; “Rock Of Ages” and “Photograph” from “Pyromania”; and “Pour Some Sugar On Me” before closing out the night with a performance of the Mott The Hoople classic “All The Young Dudes” – written by David Bowie – during an all-star jam that included Brian May of Queen, Ian Hunter, Susanna Hoffs, Steven Van Zandt, and Colin Blunstone and Rod Argent of The Zombies.
Def Leppard and Journey will continue the summer series this week with shows in San Francisco, CA and San Diego, CA before the final week of the trek, which will wrap up in Denver, CO on September 8.
