The lead single from the band’s debut album, “Kill ‘Em All”, was featured during an opening night headline set at the four-day event; Metallica topped a bill that included Parkway Drive, Saxon, Europe and Mammoth WVH, among others.
The festival at Oslo’s Ekebergsletta also saw headline appearances on other nights by Tool, Judas Priest and Greta Van Fleet.
Metallica’s appearance was part of the group’s M72 World Tour in support of the 2023 album “72 Seasons.”
Metallica is also sharing video of a performance of the Diamond Head track, “Am I Evil?”, with guest Brian Tatler on guitar.
