Finalists for the 14th annual hennemusic Rock News Awards are chosen by readers: the Rock News Story Of The Year is determined by page views, while the Rock News Artist Of The Year is based on the combined total page views of the top 50 hennemusic rock news stories of the past twelve months.
The 2023 hennemusic Rock News Awards winners will be announced on Thursday, December 21.

Rock News Story Of The Year No. 6: METALLICA
In April, Metallica debuted on the US album sales charts with their latest release, “72 Seasons.”
Launched with the lead single, “Lux AEterna”, the project was produced by Greg Fidelman, and band members James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich and recorded at the group’s HQ in San Rafael, CA in 2021 and 2022.
