Finalists for the 14th annual hennemusic Rock News Awards are chosen by readers: the Rock News Story Of The Year is determined by page views, while the Rock News Artist Of The Year is based on the combined total page views of the top 50 hennemusic rock news stories of the past twelve months.
The 2023 hennemusic Rock News Awards winners will be announced on Thursday, December 21.

Rock News Artist of The Year No. 9 – THE ROLLING STONES
The Rolling Stones expanded their social media presence in January when they joined TikTok ahead of the launch of a mini-documentary series, “The Rolling Stones Chronicles”, which highlighted the group’s development and impact throughout the 1960s.
The group regularly offered fans clips of lyric videos for songs from past projects prior to the July release of their 2002 collection, “Forty Licks”, for the first time on digital and limited-edition 4LP vinyl packages.
In early September, the Stones launched their new album, “Hackney Diamonds”, with a livestream event hosted by Jimmy Fallon and, a month later, performed a secret club show in New York City that saw featured album guest Lady Gaga join them on stage.
Produced by Andrew Watt, the album topped the UK charts and debuted at No. 3 on the US Billboard 200.
The Stones announced a 2024 North American tour in support of the record while picking up a 2024 Grammy Award nomination in the Best Rock Song category for the set’s lead single, “Angry.”
