KISS to broadcast final concert as pay-per-view event

KISS will broadcast their final farewell tour concert via a pay-per-view event.

The band’s final show, which wraps up The End Of The Road Tour, will take place on Saturday, December 2 at New York’s Madison Square Garden.

The show will be streamed worldwide, live on pay-per-view, exclusively on PPV.COM. It will also be available on PPV via cable and satellite operators in the US and Canada.

The live show begins at 8 p.m. EST.

PPV.COM, which does not require a subscription, will offer the concert for $39.99 in the U.S. and Canada ($14.99 outside North America). iNDEMAND, the parent company of PPV.COM, will also be carrying the event through its network of cable, satellite and telco operators in the U.S. and Canada via providers including: Xfinity, Spectrum, Contour, Optimum, Fios, DirecTV, DISH, Rogers and Telus, among others.

Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons formed KISS in January of 1973 from the ashes of the pair’s previous band, Wicked Lester; the group’s original lineup – which also featured guitarist Ace Frehley and drummer Peter Criss – was inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 2014.

“KISS was born in New York City. On 23rd Street. Half a century ago,” said the band. “It will be a privilege and honor to finish touring at Madison Square Garden, 10 blocks and 50 years from where we first started!”

The final KISS lineup sees guitarist Tommy Thayer perform using Frehley’s spaceman makeup and stage gear while longtime drummer Eric Singer appears in Criss’ cat makeup and stage persona.
