Billboard reports the project – the band’s first since the death of drummer Taylor Hawkins in early 2022 – has debuted at No. 1 on the Vinyl Album chart after selling 23,000 vinyl units, and entered atop both the Alternative and Hard Rock Album sales charts.
The set also debuts on the Billboard 200 at No. 8 with opening week sales of 62,000 equivalent album units earned to deliver the band their tenth top 10 album, while arriving on the Top Album Sales chart at No. 4 after selling 55,000 copies.
The 2023 record was produced by Greg Kurstin and Foo Fighters.
With new drummer Josh Freese on board, the Foo Fighters are currently set to play three US dates this week, including an appearance at the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival.
