“It has this film noir vibe,” says Gallagher about the clip directed by Chris Curis. “It’s not like anything else I’ve ever done before. It’s very melancholic, but I like that. I’m a Gemini – I’m as up as I am down, and the trick is to meet somewhere in the middle and turn that into music.”
Due June 2, “Council Skies” will be the fourth full album release by Gallagher and company, and first since 2017’s “Who Built The Moon?”; the rocker recorded the project at his Lone Star Recording Studios in London, and co-produced the set with long-time collaborator Paul 'Strangeboy' Stacey.
“Council Skies” will be available via multiple formats, including HD digital, CD, LP, 3LP and 2CD deluxe limited-edition packages, featuring remixes by The Cure’s Robert Smith and Pet Shop Boys.
Gallagher will promote the 2023 release on a co-headlining North American tour with Garbage that opens in Auburn, WA on June 2.
