"Impera was my favorite rock album of 2022,” says Elliott. “I found out along the way that Tobias is a bit of a fan of DL, so I guess it was inevitable we’d both find out about each other! Once we’d been introduced to the idea of working together it just snowballed organically and I’m thrilled that I got to sing on what is my favorite song from that album!”
Ahead of its release, Ghost previewed the pair’s collaboration in Chapter 15 of their ongoing video series; entitled “Meanwhile In Dublin”, the episode begins with Elliott tasked with singing along with the fourth single from “Impera” in a pub on karaoke night as part of a “Pope crawl.”
“Impera” delivered a career high for Ghost when it debuted at No. 2 on the US Billboard 200 upon its release last spring; the project won the inaugural Favorite Rock Album category at the 2022 American Music Awards event in Los Angeles, CA last November.
Ghost will launch a spring 2023 European tour in France next May 21, while Def Leppard will begin their global tour with Motley Crue next month with a pair of shows in Atlantic City, NJ.
