Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones and Nirvana’s Krist Novoselic are among the newly-announced list of artists added to the lineup for The Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts this fall.
Foo Fighters producer Greg Kurstin and Alain Johannes will join Jones and Novoselic as new additions at both the September 3 show at London’s Wembley Stadium and the September 27 event at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles.
The London tribute will now also include Chic's Nile Rodgers, drum prodigy Nandi Bushell, and comedian Chris Rock, while Heart guitarist Nancy Wilson, Pink, and LeAnn Rimes will appear at the Los Angeles show.
Acts previously-announced for both events include Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson of Rush, Queen's Brian May and Roger Taylor, Stewart Copeland of The Police, Mark Ronson, Rufus Taylor of The Darkness, Wolfgang Van Halen, and members of Hawkins's covers band Chevy Metal.
The Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts will benefit charities in both the UK and the US chosen by the Hawkins family; beneficiaries and further details will be announced shortly.
Tickets for both concerts are now on sale.
Hawkins passed away in his hotel room in Bogota, Colombia on March 25 at the age of 50 while the Foo Fighters were playing a series of shows in South America.
