Robert Plant and Saving Grace have announced dates for a spring tour of the UK.
The lineup of Plant, vocalist Suzi Dian, percussionist Oli Jefferson, guitarists Tony Kelsey and Matt Worley made their debut in 2019 with a series of surprise gigs in small venues across England, Wales, and Ireland and, later, a trio of UK shows supporting Fairport Convention.
The new outfit bills themselves as performing a repertoire of "music inspired by the dreamscape of the Welsh Marches," songs that span Plant's diverse tastes and influences – notably his lifelong passion for British and American folk, spirituals, and traditional blues – including a number of beloved standards and longtime favorites by Doc Watson, Donovan, Moby Grape and Low, among others.
The 2022 series will open in Bexwell on April 8, with shows wrapping up at the Jazz Fest in Cheltenham on May 1.
Plant will also hit the road with Alison Krauss this year on a world tour in support of their album, “Raise The Roof”, which will begin with a series of US dates starting in June.
