Journey delivered a pair of classic hits during a New Year’s Eve performance in New York City’s Times Square.
The band were seen on the “Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve" broadcast playing “Any Way You Want It” and “Don’t Stop Believin” ahead of the final countdown to the start of 2022.
Drummer Deen Castronovo was absent from the Times Square appearance due to “Covid”, according to guitarist Neal Schon; drum tech Steve Toomey filled in for Castronovo at the event.
Journey are scheduled to begin a North American tour in Pittsburgh, PA on February 22.
Journey were named the No. 5 Rock News Artist Of The Year as part of the 2021 hennemusic Rock News Awards.
