David Lee Roth has canceled the remaining dates of his Las Vegas residency.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports a representative of House of Blues at Mandalay Bay confirmed the news just days after the rocker shut down the first two appearances this past weekend “due to unforeseen circumstances related to COVID and out of an abundance of caution for those working and attending the shows.”
Roth was scheduled to perform at the venue starting January 5, with weekend concerts booked for January 7, 8, 14, 15, 21 and 22.
“Sometimes you win, Sometimes you lose, We got rained out..Covid cancelled,” was the message from Roth published by Entertainment Weekly. “Future shows? When the benefit concerts for Colorado, Farm Aid, and hospital workers "everywhere" come up; Call me..”
Refunds for shows in the series are available at point of purchase, according to the House Of Blues.
On October 1, Roth announced his plans to retire following the series of Las Vegas shows that were originally set to begin on New Year’s Eve.
