"The first thing that came to my mind was the hook line 'Peacemaker, peacemaker / Bury the undertaker.' I was just playing around with those words,” says singer Klaus Meine. “At a time when so many people have died and are still dying of COVID, from devastating wars and other senseless crimes, it makes you feel that the undertaker must be working overtime. In a peaceful world after the pandemic, it will be time for the peacemaker to rule... that's an image that really appeals to me."
The band spent much of the pandemic together in their hometown in Hannover, Germany working on their 19th studio set, which marks the first appearance of ex-Motorhead drummer Mikkey Dee on record with the group since his addition in 2016.
Due February 25, “Rock Believer” marks the follow-up to the 2015 studio album, “Return To Forever”, and the 2017 collection, “Born to Touch Your Feelings: Best of Rock Ballads.”
