The surprise release, which features The Rolling Stones’ rocker’s take on pandemic and post-pandemic life, arrived April 13.
“I wanted to share this song that I wrote about eventually coming out of lockdown, with some much needed optimism,” says Jagger. “Thank you to Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters) for jumping on drums, bass and guitar, it was a lot of fun working with you on this - hope you all enjoy Eazy Sleazy!”
“It’s hard to put into words what recording this song with Sir Mick means to me,” adds Grohl. “It’s beyond a dream come true. Just when I thought life couldn’t get any crazier……and it’s the song of the summer, without a doubt!!”
Last year, The Rolling Stones postponed their No Filter North American tour amid the coronavirus pandemic; the 15-date series was scheduled to open last May in San Diego, CA and wrap up in Atlanta, GA in early July.
Following the spring postponement, the band issued the single, “Living In A Ghost Town”, which marked their first original release since 2012.
