"I have the book, Ronnie´s autobiography, finally finished with Mick Wall and I think it´s coming out on Ronnie´s birthday, July 10th,” Wendy tells Sweden’s Rock Sverige. "Ronnie had written half of it, and Mick Wall and I got together and found lots of interviews so I wanted it to still be in Ronnie´s voice. I´m very pleased with that."
Wendy explained that Dio’s memoir isn’t the only project in the works these days.
"Then there´s the documentary with BMG and it´s probably coming out next year,” she added. “We´ve been working on that and then it had to stop for a little bit because of them having to go to Europe to interview more people and because of the travel bans they haven´t been able to do that. Hopefully it will come out in 2022."
Following stints in Rainbow and Black Sabbath, Dio formed his own band in 1982 and went on to release 10 studio albums during his solo career before passing away from stomach cancer on May 16, 2010 at the age of 67.
Dio’s early work with Black Sabbath will be featured on the expanded editions of the band’s 1980 set, “Heaven And Hell”, and 1981’s “Mob Rules”, which will arrive on March 5.
