Megadeth bassist David Ellefson has released a video for his version of the AC/DC classic, “Riff Raff”, from his newly-issued album, “No Cover.”
The track sees the rocker joined by vocalists Jason McMaster (Dangerous Toys) and Thom Hazaert, guitarist Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal (formerly with Guns N’ Roses) and former Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo.
“Riff Raff” originally appeared on AC/DC’s 1978 album, “Powerage”, which peaked at No. 133 on the US Billboard 200 on its way to eventually selling a million copies in the country.
“No Cover” features 17 classic tunes redone by Ellefson that were originally recorded by Queen, Sweet, Cheap Trick, Bachman-Turner Overdrive, Nazareth and more, including the set’s first preview, the band’s take on the vintage 1980 Def Leppard track, “Wasted”, and Judas Priest’s 1984 classic, “Freewheel Burning.”
Ellefson is joined on the album by a number of guests, including those listed above alongside contributions from Charlie Benante (Anthrax), Eddie Ojeda (Twisted Sister), Brandon Yeagley (Crobot), Dirk Verbeuren (Megadeth), Frank Hannon and Troy Lucketta (Tesla), Mark Slaughter, Doro Pesch, Todd Kerns (Slash & The Conspirators) and more.
