The band’s first new music since 2014’s “Rock Or Bust” signals their impending return as fans await more details about the project, which may surface before the end of the year.
This week, AC/DC shared a photo of their 2020 lineup, which sees co-founder Angus Young joined by singer Brian Johnson, bassist Cliff Williams, drummer Phil Rudd and rhythm guitarist Stevie Young under the banner “PWR/UP”, which may represent the title of an album they recorded in Vancouver in 2018.
Various reports have indicated the possibility that the project may include material recorded by co-founder Malcolm Young, who retired from the group in 2014 due to dementia and passed away in November of 2017.
AC/DC recently celebrated the 40th anniversary of their landmark 1980 album, “Back In Black”, which features Malcolm and all of the group’s current members minus Stevie Young.
