Sammy Hagar And The Circle can be seen performing an abbreviated cover of Van Halen’s 1992 hit, “Right Now”, in the latest installment of the band’s Lockdown Sessions series.
“When I wrote this song with Eddie Van Halen over 30 years ago, I had no idea it would be so relevant today,” says Hagar. “#LetTheMusicDoTheTalking #StopTheViolence #GivePeaceAChance”
The tune was the third single from Van Halen’s ninth album, “For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge”; Hagar’s third record with the band topped the US charts for three weeks while the song went on to pick up three honors at the 1992 MTV Video Music Awards, including Video Of The Year.
The Red Rocker previously delivered the 1986 Van Halen classic, “Good Enough”, during an earlier Lockdown Sessions episode.
Hagar and The Circle recently cancelled their summer US tour due to the COVID-19 pandemic; the three-month series was scheduled to begin July 9 in West Palm Beach, FL.
