Metallica are sharing video of a 1997 concert in Salt Lake City, UT in the latest installment of their weekly streaming series Metallica Mondays.
The band were filmed at The Delta Center on January 2, 1997 during a world tour in support of their sixth album, “Load.”
"We're rewinding 23 years, for the seventh stop on the North American leg of the Poor Touring Me tour,” says the band. “The set includes a few songs off ‘Load’ that haven't seen a live crowd too many times in the last two decades, so fans of that album will not want to miss it!
“Taken from a dusty old VHS tape from the Metallica Vault,” adds the group. “Filmed by the house cameras. Audio includes two soundboard sources - the second, superior source doesn't kick in until 2/3 of the way through ‘Whiplash’".
The Salt Lake City event is the 11th live show streamed during the Metallica Monday series.
