As part of the 2019 hennemusic Rock News Awards, the daily news site is counting down the Top 10 Rock News Artists of the year.
Finalists for the 10th annual hennemusic Rock News Awards are chosen by readers: the Rock News Story Of The Year is determined by page views, while the Rock News Artist Of The Year is based on the combined total page views of the top 50 hennemusic rock news stories of the past twelve months.
The 2019 hennemusic Rock News Awards winners will be announced on Thursday, December 19.

Rock News Artist of The Year No.5 – FLEETWOOD MAC
Fleetwood Mac singer and acclaimed solo artist Stevie Nicks headed into 2019 as one of the artists set to be inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in the spring.
In January, Fleetwood Mac continued its first North American tour without longtime member Lindsey Buckingham – following his firing early last year – with new lineup additions Mike Campbell of Tom Petty’s band and Neil Finn of Crowded House/Split Enz fame on guitars.
Buckingham made headlines in February as he recovered from emergency open heart surgery that resulted in vocal damage to the rocker, as the group issued a statement on the health issues affecting their former bandmate.
A March 29 event in New York would see Nicks earn the honor of becoming the first woman to enter the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame on two occasions, after originally being inducted as a member of Fleetwood Mac in 1998.
In May, Buckingham performed for the first time since his surgery when he appeared at his daughter’s high school graduation ceremony, where he accompanied Leelee and her fellow students on the 1975 Fleetwood Mac classic, “Landslide.”
Meanwhile, a series of spring headlines confirmed the band’s tour was on track to gross more than $100 million as it entered its second year; the group would go on to play in Australia and New Zealand before returning to North America in the fall for a series of rescheduled dates.
