Sammy Hagar And The Circle are debuting a video for “Affirmation”, the latest single from their recently-released album, “Space Between.”
Directed by ZZ Satriani, the clip – which mixes performance footage from a show at The Troubadour in Los Angeles with studio shots – also continues the story of the concept album’s themes of money, greed, enlightenment and truth.
According to Billboard, the material will be featured in “Space Between: The Affirmation”, an album-length short film Hagar and company plan to roll out later this year.
"The reason I like this movie is it gives the album more legs,” explains Hagar. “It's not just a record, and when you see this movie you're gonna go back and listen to the record and go 'Oh!' It elevates your listening and viewing experience.
"It's expensive and self-indulgent as hell, but I love it," he adds. "I want to have something to say; Even if it's just purely how I feel about the world, I'd rather do that than just make up some silly s**t. It's the first time I've ever tried to do something deep. It makes me look forward to playing every night, and I'm excited for the first time in a long, long time."
“Space Between” recently debuted at No. 4 on the US Billboard 200, while the band continues to support it on the road with a series of spring US concert dates.
