Rush frontman Geddy Lee has announced a handful of European dates for a series in-store signing events in support of his latest project, “Geddy Lee's Big Beautiful Book Of Bass.”
The book celebrates the history of the instrument alongside Lee's personal collection of vintage electric bass guitars, which dates from the 1950s to the 1980s.
Lee will begin a week-long, five-city tour in London on June 8, followed by UK stops in Manchester and Glasgow before hitting Amsterdam and Hamburg, Germany (see dates below).
Limited spots are available; one event ticket grants you admission and one copy of the book for Geddy to personalize for you, however, he will not be available to sign any instruments or other memorabilia.
Ticket links and details are available at rush.com.
Lee is currently winding down a similar series of in-store events across Canada this week.
In other Rush news, the band will release the debut vinyl edition of “Time Machine 2011: Live In Cleveland”, on June 7.
The 4LP package presents the band’s April 15, 2011 set at the city’s Quicken Loans Arena that saw a mix of tracks from throughout their career alongside a full album performance of the 1981 album classic, “Moving Pictures.”
The record remains the band’s best-selling release in the US, where it reached No. 3 on the Billboard 200 on its way to sales of more than 4 million copies in the country.
