Alice Cooper has announced dates for a summer US tour as part of his “Ol’ Black Eyes Is Back” global trek.
The month-long, 19-city series with Halstorm and Motionless In White will begin July 17 in Allentown, PA and make stops in Detroit, Chicago, Houston and more before wrapping up in Camden, NJ on August 16.
"We've played festivals with Halestorm, including Rock In Rio,” says Cooper, “and now I’m excited about doing this summer tour with Lzzy and the band. Can't wait to get to the first show."
"We are beyond excited to announce our new tour with the man who burnt the rule book on rock 'n' roll... Alice Cooper," adds Lzzy Hale. "Alice is our A in the ABC's of rock music, and we are honored to be sharing the stage with such a legend and his incredible band. School's definitely out!"
Fan club and VIP presales will be available Tuesday, March 5 at 10 AM local time through Thursday, March 7 at 10 PM local time via alicecooper.com; a Citi card presale will run Wednesday, March 6 at 10 AM local time until Thursday, March 7 at 10 PM local time, with general public tickets going on sale beginning Friday, March 8 at 10 AM local time via the usual outlets.
The US shows will precede a recently-expanded European leg of the tour, which will kick off in Aarburg, Switzerland on August 31.
The “Ol’ Black Eyes Is Back” tour marks the 50th anniversary of Cooper’s 1969 debut album, “Pretties For You.”
Working alongside longtime collaborator Bob Ezrin, the legendary rocker is expected to release new music ahead of the 2019 series.
A new documentary, “Alice Cooper: Live From The Astroturf” – which captures a 2015 reunion of the original Alice Cooper Band – will debut at the Phoenix Film Festival next month.
