Motley Crue are previewing a snippet of their new single, “The Dirt (Est.1981)” featuring Machine Gun Kelly, in a video from studio sessions for the soundtrack to their upcoming Netflix biopic of the same name.
The clip delivers the audio alongside footage of the band members in the studio last fall while recording four new tunes for the project with producer Bob Rock.
The song will be issued in full online on February 22 following its radio premiere Thursday as bassist Nikki Sixx debuted the track during an appearance on Sex Pistols guitarist Steve Jones's radio show, "Jonesy's Jukebox", on 95.5 KLOS in Los Angeles, CA.
On the heels of issuing the official video trailer for the film, Motley Crue have also unveiled the track list for the soundtrack (see below), which – in addition to “The Dirt (Est. 1981)” – includes new songs “Ride With The Devil”, “Crash And Burn” and a cover of Madonna's “Like A Virgin.”
Set to premiere March 22 on Netflix, “The Dirt” is directed by Jeff Tremaine and features Kelly as Tommy Lee, Douglas Booth as Sixx, Daniel Webber as Vince Neil and Iwan Rheon as Mick Mars.
