Buckcherry are streaming audio of “Bent”, the lead single from their forthcoming album, “Warpaint.”
"‘Bent’ is one of those songs that is filled with passion and you are engaged as a listener from the get go," says frontman Josh Todd. "When I wrote the lyrics to ‘Bent’, I felt like my back was against the wall with so many forces in my life pushing me to dig deeper than I ever had and get out of my comfort zone. This is exactly what the Warpaint record is about and it’s a great from beginning to end.
“The ‘Warpaint’ record is very special,” he continues. “It’s the first Buckcherry record in over three years and a lot of change has taken place in those three years. Historically whenever this happens with Buckcherry we always make our best records.”
Due March 8, the band recorded their eight studio album with producer Mike Plotnikoff; the set marks the follow-up to 2015’s “Rock ‘n’ Roll”, which reached No. 93 on the US Billboard 200.
“Bent” is the second track issued in advance of the arrival of “Warpaint”; it follows a cover of the Nine Inch Nails classic, “Head Like A Hole”, as the project’s latest preview.
Buckcherry will play four Southern California dates next week before launching a month-long series of UK and European dates in February; the group will begin a North American trek in Sacramento, CA on March 6, with shows scheduled into early May.
