Linkin Park’s video for their 2003 track, “Numb”, has passed the 1 billion views milestone on YouTube.
Filmed in the Czech Republic capital of Prague, the clip from the California group’s second album, “Meteora”, was directed by band DJ Joe Hahn; the project’s third single reached No. 11 on the US Billboard Hot 100 while topping the Billboard Alternative Songs chart for 12 weeks.
“Our music video for “Numb” just passed 1 billion views on YouTube,” says the group. “Thank you for all the support over the years!”
Linkin Park lost frontman Chester Bennington to suicide last year at the age of 41.
The group hosted a tribute concert in honor of their late singer at the Hollywood Bowl last fall, where they were joined by members of Avenged Sevenfold, Bring Me The Horizon, Blink-182, Sum 41 and System Of A Down, among others.
Last December, the band released the “One More Light Live” package to commemorate their final tour with Bennington.
