hennemusic LIVE: Green Day perform Hurricane Harvey benefit show

hennemusic is pleased to deliver a live stream of Green Day performing via Facebook in a fundraising event for those affected by Hurricane Harvey.

“We're performing on Facebook Live to raise money for Americares to support their Harvey relief efforts,” says the band.

The set will stream live from backstage at the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre in Tampa, Florida, where the group are performing tonight.

Billboard reports Green Day have pledged $100,000 to the health-focused relief group's efforts.

"Americares is truly grateful to have Green Day's support," says Americares President and CEO Michael J. Nyenhuis. "Their generosity and dedication means so much to us, as we restore health and hope for those affected by Hurricane Harvey."

Green Day are encouraging fans to donate to Americares by texting HERO to 20222 for a $25 offering, or via the charity’s website here.

Green Day are currently playing dates on a North American tour in support of their latest album, “Revolution Radio.”

The project debuted at No. 1 on the US Billboard 200 upon its release last fall
