Clutch have announced details for their first annual Earth Rocker Festival.
Billed after their 2013 album of the same name and set for Saturday, May 20 at Shiley Acres in Inwood, WV, the Maryland rockers will be joined by a lineup that includes Lucero, The Sword, Bad Seed Rising, Apollo’s Prophecy, and the Frederick Maryland School Of Rock band.
“We played at Shiley Acres last year and it was a blast,” says Clutch frontman Neil Fallon. “Our intent is to have a really diverse bill. If all goes as planned, Earth Rocker Festival will continue as an annual event, hopefully growing in scope over the years.”
"Enjoy the May weather in the best way possible,” adds guitarist Tim Sult, “with a day of rock n roll in a West Virginia field!"
The festival is a daytime event, with parking available at 9am. Gates to the show open at 12 noon and live music starts at 1pm; the event ends at sunset with overnight camping permitted and children under 12 are admitted free of charge.
Tickets for the Earth Rock Festival are on sale now via shileyacres.
The event marks the final date of Clutch’s extended spring US tour in support of 2015’s “Psychic Warfare.”
Earlier this week, the band revealed dates for a summer trek with Primus.
Both acts will perform a full set each night, with shows starting in Charlotte, NC on July 17 and wrapping up in Berkeley, CA on August 18.
For a list of dates, visit Clutch’s website here; tickets for the summer run will go on sale on Friday, March 24, at 10 AM.
