Santana has announced the first series of dates for a summer US tour.
The shows will see Carlos Santana and his band perform songs from his forty-plus year career, including fan favorites from Woodstock to “Supernatural” and beyond.
The trek will begin in Woodinville, WA on June 23, with concerts currently scheduled to September 11 in Anaheim, CA; more dates will be announced soon.
Tickets for some of the shows are now on sale, with several dates going on sale February 10 at 10 AM local time; check Santana.com for details.
The US shows will follow a spring tour of Singapore, Australia, New Zealand and Japan in April and an 8-date residency at the House Of Blues Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, NV in May; Santana will return for a fall residency at the same venue following the summer US concerts.
Last year, the guitar legend reunited with his classic late-sixties/early-seventies line-up of Journey guitarist Neal Schon and keyboardist Gregg Rolie, percussionist Michael Carabello and drummer Michael Shrieve for the 2016 album, “Santana IV.”
The project marked the appearance of the former members with Carlos on record for the first time in 45 years.
A rare live performance by the reunited group was released last fall as “Santana IV: Live At The House Of Blues Las Vegas.”
