VIDEO: Temple Of The Dog open first tour in Philadelphia

Supergroup Temple Of The Dog launched their first-ever tour at the Tower Theater in Philadelphia, PA on November 4 and video from opening night has surfaced.

The lineup of Soundgarden’s Chris Cornell, Pearl Jam’s Jeff Ament, Stone Gossard and Mike McCready, and drummer Matt Cameron – who plays with both bands – have regrouped to perform this fall in support of the 25th anniversary reissue of their 1991 self-titled debut.

Opening with “Say Hello 2 Heaven”, the group delivered a 23-song set featuring material from the album alongside covers of tracks by Mother Love Bone, Led Zeppelin (“Achilles Last Stand”), David Bowie (“Quicksand”), The Cure (“Fascination Street”) and Black Sabbath (“War Pigs”), among others.

Including opening night, Temple Of The Dog will perform eight concerts in five cities this fall, with shows in New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles and the band’s hometown of Seattle, WA.

“Temple of The Dog” is available in single CD and double LP sets, with two expanded 2CD Deluxe and 4-disc Super Deluxe editions presenting seven unheard demos and five studio outtakes in addition to a new remix of the original album by producer Brendan O’Brien.
