Metallica are unveiling a video for the tune “Halo On Fire” as part of the launch of “Hardwired…To Self Destruct.”
Directed by Herring & Herring, it’s the latest in a series of videos from the record that the band are issuing ahead of the project’s release on November 18.
"We're itching to play them," says drummer Lars Ulrich of the new material. "Right now, every day when we get into the Tuning Room we're just playing the new songs. Then we're like, 'Wait, we gotta get out there and play 'Master of Puppets.'
“Some of the songs from the new record are a little more physical. It's gonna be a lot of fun to play this. Also, some of these songs are a little shorter than the ones on Death Magnetic. I think it's gonna be a lot of fun to throw many of these songs in, but we'll change the setlist every night like we always do."
Metallica recently launched their WorldWired tour in support of the tenth album with a 5-date Latin American tour, and are crossing Europe this week to promote the project.
The group will close out 2016 with a December 17 show at the historic Fox Theater in Oakland, CA before resuming the trek in the new year with dates in South Korea, China, Hong Kong and Singapore.
