Metallica rocked the “Master Of Puppets” classic, “Battery”, at Coliseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan, Puerto Rico on October 26 during the opening night of the band’s World Wired tour in support of their tenth album, “Hardwired…To Self Destruct.”
The band are sharing footage of the tune from the event alongside performances of the title track to 1984’s “Ride The Lightning” and Tuning Room video of a pre-show run-through of “Creeping Death.”
Opening night saw Metallica deliver an 18-song set (see more video here) that featured the two lead tracks from the new album – “Hardwired” and “Moth Into Flame” – ahead of the project’s release on November 18.
Almost half of the show presented material from 1986’s “Master Of Puppets” and the self-titled “Black” album alongside tunes from throughout their career.
The Puerto Rico stop launched the global tour and the 2-week Latin American leg of the run, which wraps up in San Jose, Costa Rica on November 5 before resuming in 2017.
