Green Day performed a pair of tracks from their latest album, “Revolution Radio”, on ABC-TV’s Jimmy Kimmel Live on November 21.
The band ripped through the project’s lead single, “Bang Bang”, on the broadcast and recorded web exclusive video of the title track.
“Revolution Radio” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with opening week sales of 95,000 equivalent album units, of which 90,000 were in traditional album sales.
The project marks the San Francisco Bay Area band’s third US number one following 2004’s “American Idiot” and 2009’s “21st Century Breakdown.”
Green Day recently completed a series of American club shows and will launch a European tour in January before kicking off an arena run across North America in Phoenix, AZ on March 1 with guests Against Me!
