Anthrax singer Joey Belladonna performed the U.S. national anthem at the United Center in Chicago, IL on November 12 prior to the start of a Chicago Bulls home game against the Washington Wizards in NBA action, and video from the evening is available.
Belladonna’s appearance marked the second time that the rocker delivered the anthem at a professional sporting event in Chicago this fall following a late September showing at Wrigley Field prior to a Chicago Cubs game.
On the road in support of their eleventh album, “For All Kings”, Anthrax recently completed a fall US tour with Slayer and Death Angel as well as appearances in Japan and South Korea.
Produced by Jay Ruston, the record marks the debut of former Shadows Fall lead guitarist Jon Donais, who replaced Rob Caggiano in the lineup following his 2013 departure.
The New York rockers will resume live dates in early 2017 with a performance on the four-day 70,000 Tons Of Metal cruise, which features 60 bands including Death Angel, Uli Jon Roth, DevilDriver and Gojira, among others.
