Anthrax delivered an acoustic version of the “For All Kings” track, “Breathing Lightning”, at 95.5 KLAQ El Paso’s Best Rock ahead of their October 27 show with Slayer at the El Paso County Coliseum, and the radio station is now sharing video of the performance.
The El Paso stop marked the final date of a fall North American tour by the pair of thrash metal veterans, who were joined by Death Angel on the seven-week run.
Anthrax have been touring in support of theri 11th album, “For All Kings”, which debuted at No. 9 on the US Billboard 200 earlier this year with opening week sales of 34,000 units.
The band wrapped up their 2016 live schedule with appearances at Japan’s Knotfest on November 6 and a headline date in It’aewŏn-dong, South Korea on November 8.
The New York rockers are next scheduled to perform February 2, 2017 on the opening night of the four-day 70,000 Tons Of Metal cruise, which features 60 bands including Death Angel, Uli Jon Roth, DevilDriver and Gojira, among others.
