Red Hot Chili Peppers expand North American tour
The Red Hot Chili Peppers have expanded their 2017 North American tour in support of “The Getaway.”
The band have added 27 shows to the previously-announced schedule, which opens January 5 in San Antonio, TX with the first leg wrapping up in mid-March.
The newly-revealed second leg will start in Washington, DC on April 12 and run to the end of June.
Presale seats for the new dates start November 9 at 10:00 AM local time with general public tickets available at 10 AM local time on November 11.
Every ticket purchased includes a choice of a standard physical or standard digital copy of "The Getaway."
The project debuted at No. 2 on the US Billboard 200 in June with opening week sales of 118,000 equivalent album units (108,000 in traditional album sales).
Produced by Danger Mouse, the record marks the Los Angeles group’s first album in five years.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers are currently playing shows across Europe.
