Foo Fighters add Roskilde Festival to European tour
The Foo Fighters have added a June 30, 2017 headlining set at Denmark’s Roskilde Festival to the group’s summer tour of Europe.
The band’s first appearance at Roskilde since 2005 sees the Foos joined by almost 175 other acts at the week-long event, which runs June 24 to July 1.
Tickets for Rosklide will go on sale November 15; full details are available at the event’s website here.
The Denmark date marks the fourth confirmed show of the Foo Fighters’ 2017 European run, following news of concerts in Poland, Spain and Portugal.
The band’s return from a planned hiatus is slowly being unveiled on a new website at foofighterspassport.com, which features a clickable passport over a satellite map of Europe.
The group’s latest album is 2014’s “Sonic Highways.”
A companion, 8-episode documentary series of the same name won a pair of Emmy Awards in 2015.
The project – which featured a behind the scenes look at the making of the group’s 2014 album – was honored for Outstanding Sound Editing For Nonfiction Programming (Single Or Multi-Camera) and Outstanding Sound Mixing For Nonfiction Programming (Single Or Multi-Camera) as part of the Creative Arts Emmys event, which preceded the 67th Emmy Awards broadcast.
